Orchestra students are invited to participate in the orchestra leadership group that helps make orchestra awesome! The Orchestra Board (“Ork Bjord“) is made up of volunteer orchestra students who work together to help plan events, come up with ideas on how to motivate their fellow musicians to do their best, and keep the orchestra room organized.
Ork Bjord meets semi-regularly after school, usually on Thursdays, and we are done in time to make the late bus at 3:15. On and around concert days, members stay after school to help set-up and make last minute preparations.
The orchestra’s first concert of the year will be on Thursday, October 26 at 7 PM. Performers have been working hard on new music since the first few days of school and we’re excited to share with you our music!

However, you costume cannot affect your playing ability in any way. For instance, if the costume has a hat or sunglasses you should take off the hat and or sunglasses before you are about to play. Always remember , your performance is the most important.
- Students arrive to orchestra room at 6:15 PM to tune, warm-up, prepare, etc.
- Food / Juice delivered to the back tables prior to the concert. Usually, a parent helper simply takes control to spread out the treats and fill cups with juice, etc.
