University of Illinois Orchestra Clinic

Performing on stage at the University of Illinois Orchestra Consortium 2016.

In just a couple weeks, the Intermezzo Orchestra will be taking the show on the road! Sixth grade students will be traveling to Niles West High School in Skokie, IL to perform for two esteemed professors as well as receive a post-performance rehearsal clinic. We will be performing two pieces from our Halloween concert as well as one brand new one. Our orchestra will be joining the MS-South Orchestra to form one giant orchestra of 60+ members!

Please return the field trip form to Mr. Broach by Wednesday, November 8. If you are interested in chaperoning, let Mr. Broach know at riley.broach@lz95.org.

The Viper & His Famous Orchestra

The Viper & His Famous Orchestra

On Friday, November 17 at 7 PM, The Viper & His Famous Orchestra will be performing “the kind of music your great-great-grandparents warned your great-grandparents about.”

We are excited to expand upon our Composer in Residence program by adding a pre-concert of The Viper where we will show off past collaborations as well as potential future pieces we can work on with current students.

The Viper will be joined by His Famous Orchestra: Mr. Broach on bass and a trombonist that goes by the name, “The Plumber” because he works with pipes. Also, joining the ranks of His Famous Orchestra will be many student special guests! If you have previously performed with The Viper, he’d love to have you perform with him at this concert!

  • 7th Graders are invited to join in on Just That Good
  • 8th Graders are invited to join in on Heartbreak for Beginners and/or The Monsters are Coming

BOC Assembly

The Orchestra, Band, and Choir will be performing for their friends and faculty at MSN on Tuesday, December 20 at the end of the school day. It’s a great opportunity for our wonderful musicians to show off their Madskillz and how much hard work they have done over the past few months.

Just to clarify, parents and family do not attend this event.
