Maestro Lyra Conducts “Wo Wo Wo Bt” & “Uppa Buv”

Maestra Lyra conducts LZOrk

On Friday, May 25, the Chamber Orchestra had the distinct pleasure of performing for a second time under the baton of Maestro Lyra Broachdóttir. Once again, the orchestra members were attentive to her subtle yet emotive gestures as they performed with great care to fully express the composer’s intent.

The performance started with Dada’s arrangement of Row, Row, Row Your Boat which we often refer to as “Wo Wo Wo Bt”. Maestro Lyra gave a flick of her wrist towards the basses for their opening D-A-D-A introductory passage.

Afterwards, the orchestra shared their favorite from the year, Bohemian Rhapsody, to which Mr. Broach jumped in on the drums. Listen to the orchestra’s Winter Performance of the song…

The afternoon ended with Maestro Lyra conducting her favorite, Twinkle, Twinkle Lyra Star, referred to as “Uppa Buv”.
